The McDonalds of the Italian industry. What could I could expect though. Over priced, greasy, hot waiters. Two thumbs up.

Always great customer service and smiles. Really love coming here cuz they fill u up on soup n breadsticks. I usually like when they have specials so i can take advantage of that but none this time that were a deal. Ordered the smoked mozzarella chicken and it was good just very smoky flavored. Love free Wine samples.

Completely unauthentic, straight out of the freezer food. The worst is probably the ravioli, they are always mushy and gross, followed by the lasagna. Sauces all come straight out of a can, salad dressings do not actually contain any olive oil (it's vege oil), soups aren't good at all, and while the breadsticks are still decent they are definitely proofed elsewhere then frozen. Italian Sausage is mediocre at best, meatballs are usually dry and still taste like the freezer they came out of. The chicken parmesan heh... we ordered the off the kids menu for my niece and the frozen fried chicken tenders were the same they use for entrees. Olive Garden is nothing but a mediocre, mass-produced food, money pit. It's like a tiny step above going to any nationwide fast-food chain. Service is often outstanding, it's their redeeming quality. When the place is packed for the dinner rush they rarely keep your drink glasses full. During slow times like lunch they are sometimes hovering over your table. I understand it's a difficult balance so I'm not trying to overly criticize since generally the service and the servers themselves are excellent. Prices are higher than they should be. You get charged for premium homemade style Italian food but you get fast-food style garbage instead. Overall, they aren't great but it's an easy enough place to get a group of friends/family to agree upon. Anyone who absolutely loves their food needs to get out more and experience real Italian food. Edit: The only item on the menu I felt was edible (other than salad heh) was removed so I have deleted mention of it in my review. Wife dragged me in here other day so I tried one of their new appetizers instead, one bite and I was done with that. The manager wasn't the least bit surprised and guessed what the problem was before I even got to mentioning it. Instantly took care of it, removed it from my bill and was very nice to offer some free sides and such (which I politely declined). So there's still nothing wrong with the service but the food keeps getting worse. Difficult as it is to do with service that good, My 2 star rating has been reduced to 1.

Olive Garden is not my number one choice for Italian food. Well, if you can even call it that. I suppose I have a slightly different perception of what real Italian food should be. Anyhow - back to my story about the OG. Olive Garden is what it is. Whether it's in Chicago or Green Bay, it's all the same. Since I was up visiting my preggo sister, she had the crave for their recent promotion - the 3 course meal. Soup or salad, an entree, and a dessert for $12.95? Can't be that. Since there's usually a lengthy wait early, the GB location allows you to call in advance to put your name in - ummmm, awesome! So when we arrived and made our way through the crowded waiting area, we waited all of 30 seconds before our pager went off and we were seated. Fantastic! The service was okay. Nothing to write home about. But then again, given where we were, I wasn't expecting to be waited on hand over foot. I had to ask for my water to be filled fairly regularly which was somewhat annoying. The food was okay. Again, it's the Olive Garden. I personally think the prices are a little steep, but it's not like I consider myself a frequent diner. I was disappointed in how over-cooked the noodles were ((no al dente here!!)), and that there wasn't any substitutions in the 3-course meal. Sadly, I wouldn't eat any of those entree selections because they were meat or fish dishes, so I chose to dine a la carte ((if you want to call it that)) and skip on the dessert. I went with minestrone soup and the Capellini Pomodoro. They were definitely high in sodium because I blew up like a whale later that night. Other than that - they were just - meh. Olive Garden definitely isn't my cup of tea. If I'm craving "Italian" up in good ol' Green Bay, Fazoli's does the job for a fraction of the price. However, it's not a terrible experience. The food and service are both decent - I just prefer something a little bit more authentic.

On a driving vacation and we were in the need for dinner. Wife said Olive Garden. It was only a mile or so from the (cheap crappy) hotel, so I was good with that idea. We were seated right away, and the waitress was right there for us. She gave us a sample of some wine, wife liked it for another time, but not with our dinner. I can only review what I had, because other than salad, I have no idea what my wife had, but I do know she liked it. The (chicken dumpling something or other) soup I had was so good. I really could have taken a quart of it, but it would not have done well with our traveling. I had the chicken Parmigiana. I ended up getting three meals from that. I can sure tell I am no longer a teenager! But all three meals were good. it could have used a little more seasoning, but it was good. All the staff was friendly, so I have no downside other than the chicken Parmigiana needing a little more seasoning.

Best clam chowder I ever had! I had the seafood wrapped in a tortilla and it was delicious. Service was great and even got 10% from one of those texts they advertised on their sign. Desserts were so so but will be going back.

Hey, it's Olive Garden. We know what to expect at this point. Food was up to par, and our waitress took good care of us. Had to chuckle a bit as she didn't know what malbec was, since she was, as she put it "only recently 21." No big deal, and everything was fine.

4 stars (not 5) due to the hovering waiter. The food was the normal Olive Garden fare. No better, no worse than every other Olive Garden I've been to. The waiter, although they were not super busy, seemed intent on rushing us out the door. Our food was brought to the table literally minutes after we got our salad. He dropped by to ask how our entrees were (they were fine), but left before we could respond. He seemed much more interested in talking to the table of 3 younger women behind us, than to our table. For that reason, his tip was reduced dramatically. He will not prevent me from returning, however, if he is still employed the next time that I go to Olive Garden, we will request a different server.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
